CAN YOU FIND SOME ROOM FOR A THAI VILLAGE UNDER YOUR TREE?

Greetings from the Vision Thailand Churches
in Thailand!
The heading you see in this letter is the same one we used in our Fall 2016 newsletter. Many of you responded positively
and we were able to meet all of our commitments last year.
Thank you so very much!
This year we had another great year with many Thai people turning to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! Some of you are wondering what’s with the water image as we ask for a Christmas gift for Thai village churches and pastors’
families?
“Canadians currently use an average of 329 litres of water per person, per day – second only to the United States in the developed world, and more than twice as much as Europeans use.”
Many of us don’t even think about our water usage because North Americans are blessed with an abundant supply of fresh water. Such is not the case in many parts of the world and Thailand is no exception. In
the remote villages of Thailand, most people have to walk some distance to get their daily supply of water. A few years ago, due to the vision of some of our Thai Christian leaders in a small village in Northern Thailand, we helped to dig a well and it was
an instant hit with the villagers. Some even refer to it as the “Jesus Well.” How wonderfully appropriate that metaphor is. This has opened dialogue with villagers to share Christian love along with the water. Word spread quickly and this year we are in
the process of drilling six wells in six different villages. These wells are not just for the church community, but for the entire village.
In John chapter 4:13-15 we read, “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling
up to eternal life.”
The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
Will you continue to keep Vision Thailand Ministries and the churches in Thailand in your prayers and consideration for a financial gift, please? Attached is a brief overview of the work we do in Thailand. As I write this letter,
our treasurer tells me that we are scraping the barrel this month to support all our churches and pastors. So I ask:
CAN YOU FIND SOME ROOM FOR A THAI VILLAGE UNDER YOUR TREE?
Again! Thank you so very much.
